More Challenges

The postie has been and I have some lovely goodies; My PomPom rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley (rush to find my easi-mount); ribbon, lace and pins from the Ribbon Girl and a replacement for a faulty clear stamp set from Simply Cards and Papercraft. This set was a covermount freebie and I was looking forward to using it but only one of the original stamps clung properly despite my attempts to clean and air dry them. I emailed the publishers and they have very decently sent a replacement set. I buy three of the craft magazines that these publishers issue because they are good quality mags and I am delighted to find they are publishers of quality too.

My first card today is for a Docraft challenge set by Loretta who gave us a sketch and asked us to use pink.

The lovely digi stamp is Clara and she was a generous freebie at McMahon5; the sentiment is from Meljen. The papers were also a freebie and were distressed with Memento Dewdrop Rhubarb Stalk ink. I discovered that my Martha Stewart punch was not happy punching paper and the edges came out distressed, unintentionally. Maybe it was the quality of the paper as it was happy to punch 250gms card! The buttons and the ribbon were from my stash.

Promarkers used: Ivory, Almond, Blush, Burnt Umber, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Caramel, Tan, Pink Carnation, Rose Pink, Cocktail Pink, Antique Pink and Cool Grey 2.

This card is for Lisa's Digi Challenge (my first & favourite challenge) and Lisa asked us to use 3 main colours, 2 flowers, ribbon and 2 other embellishments and a dusting of glitter. I used  this TPS dragon digi and used green, purple and orange shades to colour up. The orange card blank was matted with purple ginham cardstock, Lasting Impressions Limeade cardstock and purple floral paper. The purple flowers, the two green pearls and the green ribbon were from my stash and the ribbon was stapled. I saw this done on Docrafts and it saved me from getting into the whole glue and ribbon fiasco! I finished of with a bit of gold glitter.

Promarkers used: Cool Grey 2, Pastel Beige, Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst, Orange, Bright Orange, Burnt Orange, Lime Green, Leaf Green and Grass.

Mr H is taking me out to look at cars today.... oh joy!

Cheerio and if you have any reasonable excuses you think I could offer, send me them urgently, Hazel x

  2. Hi Hazel, isn't great that the post is now back to normal and our orders are getting through. Love your cards, particularly the pink one and I'm not really a pink kinda girl but I think it's the image that is especially appealing. Elizabeth x
