Cars and cards.

Did not manage to get out of car shopping; well, he tempted me by offering me a meatball sub sandwich after we'd had a look. The 'look' lasted over an hour and I had to hop in and out of several cars; after all, I will, apparently, be doing most of the driving! The sandwich was gorgeous!

I just had to make cards when we got back; both for the same challenge over on Docrafts. The Club Challenge was to use a sketch download and it offered two alternatves, so I did both.
One for a girl............
The other for a boy..........

I made two cards because good friends of my daughter, Lizzie and Edmond, are expecting and I wanted to cover any contingency. We skyped Morgan last night and I showed her my efforts. Then she told me a boy is expected! Seeing my consternation, Mr H said I should just have done the one, in yellow,  to which my daughter responded "Dad, you are awful, Edmond is Albanian not Chinese!" I swear she couldn't understand why we were laughing - she is so vigilant about not being racist or biased that she often misses the point! Never mind...... I used a stamp that I had my eye on from the SWALK range and adapted it to be a boy image too by altering the bow with my fineliner. All the papers and cardstock used were from my stash and were magazine freebies for the most part. I used bits of ribbon from my stash too.

Promarkers used: Powder & Pastel Blues, Pastel Beige, Rose and Pastel Pinks, Ivory, Almond , Blush, Cinnamon and the Blender.

I have plans to slope off to Hobbycraft today for a mooch and the sun is shining, albeit weakly, so it looks good for a good day. Hope you are all as fortunate, cheerio,
